Fears & Phobias


 What is the difference between a Fear and a Phobia ?

Lets say you have a Fear of Flying, then it is just possible that once a year you could take an unpleasant, anxiety ridden flight and go on holiday. However if you have a Phobia of Flying then you would never even contemplate flying for any reason at all.

Fears and Phobias 

Most people have a fear of something and depending on just what that fear is donates how much impact it has on you and your daily life. For instance a Fear of Snakes in the UK causes limited problems but a Fear of Dogs is much more of a problem as snakes a very rare but dogs are everywhere. Once your Subconscious Mind learns to be scared of something it will just elicit a fear response no matter how irrational it may seem. For example a big tough man can be turned into quivering wreck at the sight of a perfectly safe and small house spider, the person actually knows that the spider can do them no harm but their reaction is fear and that is exactly what that they feel and they respond accordingly.

Fear and Phobias can be dealt with using a range of methods within Hypnotherapy and Suggestion Therapy in particular being one of the best ways to work with these conditions.
